Based on the cosmology of twenty-four tirthankaras, guiding and showing the path of enlightenment, Jainism strongly believes in ahimsa (non-violence). The sculptured moorti of its twenty-third and twenty-fourth tirthankara, Parasnath and Mahavira are popularly worshipped.
